1000 Montgomery County Women are fired up for O'Malley-Brown and Barbara Mikulski!
Yesterday, with Heather Mizeur stickers in tow and my t-shirt on, I headed to the 1000 Women rally for Governor O’Malley, Lieutenant Governor Brown, and Senator Mikulski. Montgomery Blair High School - packed with elected officials, activists, and women in pink - had one thing to say: "What enthusiasm gap!??!?"

From Myrna Cardin and Chris Van Hollen to Martin O’Malley, Anthony Brown, and Barbara Mikulski, the guests of honor stressed the importance of getting democrats out to vote across the state. The Lieutenant Governor fired up the crowd, while Governor O'Malley moved the audience as he discussed the work we’ve done to increase access to affordable health care for Maryland’s families. Senator Mikulski brought the house down talking about the day she stood next to President Obama while he signed the Lilly Ledbetter Act. And of course, a huge round of applause goes to the First Lady of Montgomery County, Catherine Leggett, who served as our fabulous emcee!

The 1000 Women rally was truly impressive. We've been working tirelessly to move Maryland forward and to secure wins up and down the ballot for Maryland Democrats this year.
The excitement in the air was palpable as we departed, galvanized for the last weeks before Election Day. Interested in helping Democrats win this year? Email Jeremy and we'll get you going in the right direction.
